In an interview with The Mirror, the wife of Boyzone star Ronan Keating said that she faces a lengthy rehab journey ahead of her.

‘You have to give the nerves a year after surgery,’ she told the publication. It’ll be a lengthy wait, but in the meantime, I’m on a challenging program that will gradually ease as I gain strength.’

‘I didn’t break down until the surgeon told me it was a success,’ she added of her reaction to the procedure.

‘After that, I had a couple of weeks of emotional upheaval.’

‘You begin to feel anxious. You realize how different your life would have been if you hadn’t been able to drive to school or go on vacation.’

Storm took to Instagram ten days after her surgery to say she was ‘doing fantastic’ and that she would soon be able to lift her 15-month-old daughter Coco again.

While both were working on The X Factor Australia in September 2012, Ronan and Storm met.

They married in a lovely Scottish ceremony in 2015 before revealing they were expecting their first child in December 2016.

With ex-wife Yvonne Connolly, Ronan has three other children: Missy, 20, Ali, 15, and Jack, 22.

In March, she was released from the hospital, just in time for her daughter’s first birthday, and shared a beautiful video of herself with Coco and her four-year-old son Cooper, saying she was doing well.

Storm could be seen seated on a picnic blanket, kissing Coco on the forehead, with Cooper standing by them in the video.

It comes after Storm shared a photo of her hand and hospital gown on Instagram in late March, describing her diagnosis as the “most terrifying week” of her life.

“I would not be walking out of the hospital with the chances of leading the regular life I had always envisioned,” Storm confessed if it weren’t for Dr Aftab’s acute attention, care, attentiveness, and skills.

“There are no words that will come near to articulating my gratitude to you, Syed, thank you,” Storm stated in expressing her gratitude to the hospital staff.
