Mr. Marissen just declared himself a mayoral contender in Vancouver. He will run for the Progress Vancouver nomination, the new name/brand for YES Vancouver. The election will be held in the fall of 2022.
Marissen was a crucial figure in B.C. Premier Christy Clark’s victorious 2013 provincial election campaign.

While she lost her seat in her first election, she led the B.C. Liberals to an additional five seats in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, giving them a more significant majority.
Following that, a member of the Liberal Party caucus stepped down so that a by-election could be held in riding to give her a seat in the House.
