In 2018, Rachael DelTondo, a 33-year-old teacher, was fatally shot. However, the assailant has yet to be identified, and the case is still ongoing, while her parents await justice.
Rachael DelTondo Murder Update: On 48 Hours
On a recent episode of 48 hours, the murder case of Rachael DelTondo was updated. She told her mother she was going to get ice cream with friends at Hanks on the day she died. Her mother stated that she had a feeling it would be her daughter’s final words.
Following their trip to Hank’s Frozen Custard, Rachael DelTondo’s friend, Lauren Watkins, claimed to have dropped Rachael off at her house. She stated that she double-checked that Rachael had arrived at her house before driving away.
Rachael, on the other hand, was discovered dead at the bottom of her driveway. She was shot and died in just over four minutes. Sheldon Jeter Jr., a 20-year-old former high school football star, was quickly blamed by her parents for her death.
Sheldon’s lawyer claimed that the two of them had a more than friendship relationship. They were romantically involved, he claimed. Her mother, on the other hand, denies the allegations.
She claimed that her daughter had been attempting to help Jeter since she was a teacher, but that he mistook her goodwill for romantic love.
Did Sheldon Jeter Kill Rachael DelTondo?
There is no proof that Jeter assassinated Rachael DelTondo. The suspect’s uncle provided an alibi on the day of her death, claiming that his nephew was at his house when Rachael was shot.
That night, he claimed, Sheldon was looking after his father. Furthermore, there are no other suspects with whom to continue the investigation. Jeter, on the other hand, is still in prison.
In a similar scenario, someone connected to Jeter was killed in 2020. This time, however, police discovered evidence that Jeter was the perpetrator.
Nonetheless, it was stated in the Rachael DelTondo case that Sheldon Jeter’s testimony was heard by a statewide grand jury in Pennsylvania. When asked about a possible suspect or charge in the case, Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier remained silent. He simply stated that they would make a statement soon.
