Karla Homolka aka Leanne Teale made international headlines when she was found guilty of manslaughter after agreeing to serve only twelve years in prison in the rape murders of two Ontario teenage girls, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French.
Due to her plea agreement, she was never charged with sexual assault. However, Bernardo was found guilty of the Mahaffy–French murders and sentenced to life in prison with a dangerous offender classification, Canada’s maximum sentence.
Bernardo had molested Homolka, she told police, and she had been an unwitting collaborator to the murders.
As a result, she reached an agreement with prosecutors to receive a reduced prison sentence of twelve years in exchange for pleading guilty to manslaughter.

Where Is Karla Homolka “Leanne Teale” and Her Husband Today?
Karla now lives with her husband, whom she married after release from prison.
And her ex-husband Bernardo was found guilty of the Mahaffy–French murders and sentenced to life in prison with a dangerous offender classification, Canada’s maximum sentence.

Bernardo received a 35/40 on the Psychopathy Checklist, whereas Homolka received a 5/40.
However, following the plea agreement, videotapes of the crimes appeared, revealing that Homolka was a more active participant than she had claimed, including in the rape and death of her sister, Tammy Homolka.
As a result, her agreement with prosecutors was called “Deal with the Devil” in the Canadian press. Homolka’s plea deal sparked a public outcry that lasted until her high-profile release from jail in 2005.

Karla Homolka is now Leanne Teale and lives in Quebec with her husband, Thierry Bordelais, and their three children.
Karla Homolka was freed from prison on July 4, 2005. Shortly after her release, the 35-year-old married Thierry Bordelais, the brother of her former lawyer.
Karla and her family spent time in the Antilles and Guadeloupe before settling in Quebec.
The public’s reaction to Karla’s release was overwhelmingly negative. She started working at a hardware store in a Montreal suburb in August 2005.

Karla’s boss later released her address to the media, accusing her of violating her release conditions by contacting someone with a criminal record.
Karla had also been in contact with children, according to the employer.
Karla may be free, but the public constantly watches her.
Reports that she helped at her children’s school occasionally generated controversy, and the school was compelled to cease the relationship.
