Texas authorities are trying to determine who shot a 13-year-old in Fort Worth and left her in a parking lot to die.

Officers arrived at the LA Fitness at Altamesa Boulevard and McCart Avenue in Fort Worth at around 9 p.m. on Thursday, where they found Zakavia Walker unconscious after someone shot her once. She was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The Dallas Morning News reports that so far, no arrests have been made and it’s unclear what led up to the shooting. Police said the suspect shot the victim, then fled the scene. No suspect description has been provided.

Walker was a student in the Fort Worth ISD. She attended Wedgwood Middle School, NBC 5 reports.
