Amanda Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress and media personality.
Since 2007, she has judged on the television talent show competition Britain’s Got Talent on ITV. She currently co-hosts the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings.

Amanda Holden was born in Portsmouth to Frank and Judith Holden, but spent most of her time growing up in the Hampshire town of ‘Bishop’s Waltham’.
Holden began acting at Bishop’s Waltham Little Theatre Company while she was still in primary school.
She graduated from Mountview Theatre School in 1992, and went straight into her first role in the Granada series, ‘In Suspicious Circumstances’. Before this, in 1991, she appeared as a contestant on ‘Blind Date’.

In 2006, Holden began working on the ITV show, ‘Wild at Heart’, and stayed on the show for three seasons.
In 2007, she appeared as one of the judges on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is the longest-running judge, alongside Simon Cowell.
In April, 2009, Holden appeared as a guest presenter on the CBS program, ‘The Early Show’. She went on to become the UK correspondent for the show in that same year.
Holden also began writing a gossip column on the UK newspaper, ‘News Of The World’, until it ended publication in 2011 after 168 years.
She has gone on to work as a television host on many UK shows, mostly on the UK channel ITV. In 2014, she filled in for presenter Holly Willoughby’s maternal leave on the show ‘This Morning’.

In 1995, Holden married the English comedian Les Dennis, although she began an affair with actor Neil Morrissey which was exposed in 2000.
Holden and Dennis separated for a time, before getting back together. They then separated again in 2002, before being divorced in 2003.
In 2006, Holden gave birth to her first child with her fiancé, Chris Hughes, before the couple was married in 2008. In 2010, she suffered from a miscarriage, followed by a 7-month stillbirth in 2011. In 2012, she gave birth to her second daughter.
