A Florida woman’s son is hoping information about her last known whereabouts and conversations will help police locate her.

According to ABC 3, Heather Rea Owen was last seen on December 1 off of Lime Street in Escambia County. Her son told the outlet that she moved from Fort Myers to Pensacola to be with a boyfriend, but the pair reportedly had an argument and a falling out a few months later.

“Her phone shut off — the normal Facebook she uses and none of the other ones have any posts or activity since November,” Owen’s son, Skyler Haefeker, told the outlet.

On January 15, Owen contacted a friend for help in leaving Fort Myers. The friend contacted Haefeker and told him about his mother, but the next time they heard from her, she was at a Pace Boulevard laundromat and asked a man to borrow his phone.

“He said he let her borrow her phone to contact someone,” Haefeker said. “She looked lost.”

Haefeker said the man told him that Owen said she wanted to contact someone on Facebook.

Owen is described as a white female with brown eyes and red hair. She stands 5-feet-6-inches tall.

Anyone with information on Owen’s whereabouts should contact the Escambia County Sheriffs Office at (850) 436-9620.
