MISSING: 4-year-old Girl Not Seen in Over a Year, Parents Refuse to Cooperate With Cops [Reports]

Kentucky authorities are searching for a missing 4-year-old girl who reportedly has not been seen in more than a year and is believed to be in danger.

According to WDRB, relatives have not seen Serenity Ann McKinney since 2020, on Christmas Eve, prompting her grandfather to recently file a missing persons report in Shelby County. The grandfather, Brad Davis, told the news outlet that he was concerned because he has not seen the 4-year-old in a long time.

McKinney’s grandmother, Aundria Wainscott, claimed she last spoke with her granddaughter on the phone a few weeks before Father’s Day 2021.

Police said McKinney’s parents are not cooperating with the investigation, according to WDKY. Police also said they are unsure of McKinney’s last whereabouts, but they believe she was in the area of Shelby, Jefferson, or Bullitt counties.

Shelby County police Captain Blake Lisby said the missing girl’s mother has been located in Jefferson County.

“(She) has still not produced Serenity for us and has not cooperated with us up to this point in the investigation,” Lisby told WDRB. “(She’s) refusing to speak us with about the whereabouts of her daughter.”

McKinney has blue eyes, blonde hair, and possibly has a birthmark on her stomach, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at 502-633-4324 or 502-633-2323.
