She liked to play baseball with the neighborhood boys, earning her the nickname “Tomboy.” Despite her mother’s best efforts to discourage her, her interest in baseball grew.

She was teased at school for wearing pants instead of skirts. She allegedly skipped school on a regular basis to play baseball. By the age of 16, Stone was playing weekend games with the roving Twin City Colored Giants.

Google has previously used this temporary change on its homepage to praise other baseball legends. Today she is celebrated by Google Doodle. Stone was able to carve her name in history and has been praised for her contribution.

Was Toni Stone Married To Husband Aurelious Alberga?

Toni Stone got married to captain Aurelious Pescia Alberga. He was a native of Oakland and a WWI veteran. They tied the know officially in 1950.

Her husband died in the 1980s when he was 103 years old. While she was married, Stone continued to live in the San Francisco Bay Area while pursuing her career on baseball teams across the country.

The age gap between the couple appears to be greater, as his husband was 103 in 1980 and she was between the ages of 59 and 69. May the couple be at peace for the rest of their lives.
