Sion Jenkins, Bille-Jo Jenkins’ foster father, is the prime suspect in the death of the 13-year-old girl.

People are optimistic that a forensic assessment of the material, DNA testing, and blood tests ordered by police will ultimately solve the 1997 murder of Billie.

Where Is Sion Jenkins Now?

Sion Jenkins is currently living in  Southsea, Hampshire with her wife, Tina. He took divorced from his ex-wife Lois and married his current spouse in 2005.

He was studying criminology at Portsmouth University and enjoys walking along the Southsea seafront on days when he isn’t studying. According to Tina, he loves gazing out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and beyond.

She claims that the 52-year-old former deputy headmaster values liberty. Jenkins now has a roughly 29 years old son, Oscar with Tina who resides in a £550,000 home in Southsea, Hampshire.

His wife used to work as a nurse at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in nearby Cosham. However, we have no idea what the couple is doing at the moment.

Jenkins must have gone through a lot being imprisoned for the murder of her own daughter, Billie-Jo Jenkins.

Sion Jenkins Daughter Billie-Jo Jenkins Murder Case Update & Jail Sentence

Sion Jenkins was suspected in the murder of Billie-Jo Jenkins and was sentenced to six years in prison. On February 15, 1997, the 13-year-life old’s was brutally ended when she was bludgeoned to death with an 18-inch metal tent peg in the garden of her new home.

Her foster father was imprisoned for six years before his sentence was overturned on appeal.

Jenkins was formally cleared of all charges in 2006 following two inconclusive retrials, but he never received compensation because his innocence could not be proven.

Police are now re-conducting a forensic examination of exhibits discovered at the scene in 1997.

The original case was based on 148 blood spots found on Jenkins’ clothes that were invisible to the naked eye. Though the prosecutors claimed Jenkins hit Billie-Jo, his defense team claimed they were a fine spray of her breath after he discovered her dying.

Officers will now re-examine the spots to see if they contain bone fragments, as well as run new DNA tests on other pieces of evidence.

‘We are conducting a forensic review of material to determine whether scientific advancements can provide new lines of inquiry,’ said Sussex Police.

Sion Jenkins is very much alive and has now reached the age of 63 as of January 2022. He is living his new life with his new wife and son.

Though he has not made any public appearance or statement, he is believed to be fit and fine. The Sussex police are currently re-investigating the case in a hope that the scientific advancement may help to resolve the murder that took place nearly 25 years before.

The police, in collaboration with forensic experts, is pursuing the case with the goal of ensuring that the true perpetrator is not exonerated.
