Cody saw his latest contract end at the beginning of 2022. He personally confirmed his free agency status after dropping his TNT title.
Rhodes had lost to Sammy Guevara in a Ladder Match on the January 26, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite
It is reported that Rhodes is leaving the company as he could not successfully negotiate with the company’s executive.
The grappler was reportedly looking for a “big-money deal,” says Sean Ross Sapp via Fightful Select.
