Major General Andrey Sukhovetskiy of Russia was killed in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

After Ukraine joined NATO in 2020, the conflict erupted. However, because the world was suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic, it began as a cold war.

The United Kingdom and the United States announced sanctions against Russia on February 22, 2022. Vladimir Putin, enraged, ordered Russia’s invasion of Ukraine two days later.

Putin ordered the deployment of military forces along the border, as well as the launch of rockets and missiles toward Ukraine. The war is still going on, and many innocent people have already died.

As per Daily Mail, Kyiv claimed that Russia has suffered 9,000 casualties although Russia has only admitted it to be less than 500.

Andrey’s funeral is set to be held on 5 March, Saturday. The passing of one of the top-ranking officers may be a major demotivator for Russia and they might stop the conflict.
