Radonda Vaught is not listed on the Wikipedia official page. Her information, on the other hand, can be obtained on a variety of websites.

According to the Tennessee Department of Health, Vaught of Bethpage, Tennessee, was certified as a registered nurse in Tennessee in February 2015 and has no history of medical discipline.

Vaught began attending Western Kentucky University in 2012, and in 2015, she was named to the dean’s list.

Due to a prescription error that killed an elderly patient in 2017, a former nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center was charged with reckless homicide last week.

Charlene Murphey was meant to be given the sedative Versed by RaDonda Vaught. Instead, she obtained and administered the paralytic vecuronium bromide by accident.

Murphey went into cardiac arrest shortly after and died a few hours later. The defense claims that the error was caused by systemic issues at Vanderbilt.

Assistant District Attorney Debbie Housel highlighted in her opening remarks that Vaught should have called the pharmacy and not overridden Vanderbilt’s prescription dispensing system, among other things.

Vanderbilt University’s electronic systems were not interacting with each other, according to defense attorney Peter Strianse.

During the first day of testimony, Vaught was visibly upset.

Murphey’s daughter-in-law testified, and an audiotape of her interview with a TBI agent was played in front of the court for more than an hour.

During the first day’s audio recording, Vaught stated that she was distracted while getting the drug.
