Did Pam Hupp Really Try To Kill Herself? Stabs Self With Pen

Pam Hupp stabbing herself with a pen in a restroom in an evident attempt to kill herself was the frightening start to Episode 6, titled she’s a Killer.

Similarly, Hupp was arrested and accused of Louis Gumpenberger’s assassination on August 23, 2016, according to Newsweek.

Besides, she went to the police station’s lavatory after being detained and then stabbed herself in the neck and wrists with a ballpoint pen in an alleged suicide attempt.

That’s why she was kept on suicide watch at the St Charles County prison after being seen extensively wrapped in her booking photo.

Prosecutors emphasized Hupp’s attempted suicide in court. Assistant prosecutor Phil Groenweghe of the St. Charles County prosecutor’s office alleged that the conduct was committed to “knowledge of guilt.”

Dateline Episode On “The Thing About Pam” Explored

Pam Hupp’s involvement in the case of Betsy Faria, 42, who perished after being struck 55 times, is also explored in the episode “Things About Pam.”

Likewise, Russ Faria was caught and charged with Betsy’s homicide the day after her memorial. He was imprisoned for more than three years until his conviction was reversed in a retrial.

Pamela Hupp, who was already spending life behind bars for the fatal shooting of Louis Gumpenberger after entering an Alford plea, was indicted with Betsy Faria’s first-degree murder in 2021.

The trial is still underway, however, Hupp has refuted any participation in Betsy’s murder on several occasions.

Where Is Pam Hupp Today?

For the murder of Louis Gumpenberger, Pam Hupp is serving a life sentence with no prospect of release. It isn’t the conclusion of the narrative, and it isn’t the end of the quest for the truth, as per Fox4.

In contrast, Pam Hupp was convicted of first-degree murder in the brutal murder of Betsy Faria in 2011 by Lincoln County Prosecutor Mike Wood in July.

Reportedly, Hupp’s looks have evolved over time, most noticeably following her incarceration. She had lost weight and her hair had lost its color.

She’s now separated from Mark Hupp, the one family member that appeared to be there for her throughout each twist and turn.
