Amber Heard’s first witness in Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit against her testified with graphic descriptions of abuse the actress alleged Depp heaped upon her and said it was clear that she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result.

Forensic psychologist Dawn Hughes’ testimony was in direct conflict with Depp’s own expert witness, Shannon Curry, who testified last week that she saw symptoms of two personality disorders but no PTSD during her examination of Heard, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

“When Mr. Depp was drunk or high, he threw her on the bed, ripped off her nightgown and tried to have sex with her,” said Hughes, describing scenes Heard had described to her. “There were times when he forced her to give him oral sex when he was angry at her.”

Hughes also said that Depp performed “a cavity search” with his fingers and abused her with a bottle, causing the actress to disassociate, the New York Post reported.

She described the dynamics of an abusive relationship, noting that, “When you’re in a lull and violence isn’t happening, you’re back with the man you fell in love with. It creates a trauma bond.”

The psychologist discussed Heard’s abusive childhood, saying that she believed she could “fix” Depp, “just like she tried to fix her father.”

Curry, who conducted an examination of Heard on behalf of Depp, testified that she believes Heard “demonstrates psychological symptoms of combined borderline personality disorder (BPD) and histrionic personality disorder.”

Before Heard’s attorneys began their case, Judge Penney Azcarate denied a motion to dismiss Depp’s $50 million lawsuit, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Heard is expected to begin her testimony on Wednesday.
