In a teaser clip, the girls take to their bikes for a training session at the Velodrome, ready for the event.

But Olivia crashes into Phoenix and falls from her bike onto the track, causing further injury to her shoulder.

She later exclaims while sprawled on the floor and looking teary: ‘Ouch it has gone straight through that elbow, straight into my bad shoulder’.

Further on the track Christine McGuinness remarks: ‘Oh no one of the girls has fell!’

It is currently unclear if she will be able to compete in tonight’s event.

It has been a difficult week for Olivia, who broke down in tears as she struggled to get to grips with the javelin event during Wednesday’s episode of The Games on ITV.

She  couldn’t hold back her emotions in training as she told how the competition was an ‘exposing experience’ – before overcoming her demons and throwing a personal best live on the night at the Crystal Palace athletics centre.

Elsewhere on the latest episode of the show, fellow Love Island alum Wes Nelson, 24, won the 110m hurdles race, finishing way ahead of his fellow competitors.

Ahead of the women’s javelin Olivia looked tense as she trained with the other women and stormed out of practice.

With tears in her eyes she later explained her frustrations, saying: ‘Today has been the hardest day for me, I am trying to remember why I started this, because I love sport.

‘I play a character people have bought into, that I’m confident but there are layers to me people haven’t seen, I don’t let people see them.

‘At school I was streams ahead of everyone but now I am not the top of this group and it’s an exposing experience. It’s a competition but I’m here for me and I need to focus on me.’

However despite her nerves at the start of the event she achieved a personal best with her second throw of 11.38 metres, while overall Phoenix Brown won in the discipline.

Earlier in the programme Wes dominated on the track yet again, coming first in the 110m men’s hurdles event, after also winning the 400m race.

After the event impressed host Freddie Flintoff commented: ‘That was like watching an Olympian not someone from Love Island!’

The night before he also took gold in two swimming events, placing him top of the leader board as things currently stand.

Max George came second in the 110m hurdles while Josh Herdman came a close third.

Last up on Wednesday night’s show was the women’s 400m race where Chelcee Grimes won.
