Mourad Lamrabatte, a former SBV Vitesses player, reportedly died last week while on vacation on the Spanish island of Majorca while performing a perilous cliff stunt.
Soon after, authorities arrived on the scene and discovered Lamrabatte’s death. According to local news outlets, police were unable to question his wife because she was still in shock following her husband’s tragic death.
SBV Vitesse, the Moroccan’s previous club, offered condolences to his family and friends. The Dutch club tweeted, “Vitesse has received the sad news that Mourad Lamrabatte has passed away.”

Mourad Lamrabatte’s cliff jumping video is now circulating on YouTube that showcases the footballer jumping from the height of the Malgrat Islands to Santa Ponca in Calvia, Mallorca.
Lamrabatte’s wife unawarely recorded the tragedy in a video clip that shows the 31-year-old conducting a tombstoning stunt from a 30-meter high cliff to jump into the lake.

Mourad Lamrabatte died following the miscalculation on his jump, which let out a terrible scream before crashing into the rocks and water.
According to autopsy reports, Mourad Lamrabatter did not die from impact injuries but drowned in a state of semi-consciousness owing to the strike.
The Moroccan footballer Mourad Lamrabatte, 31-year-old, died last Thursday after sliding into a rock while cliff jumping in Mallorca.
Mourad’s spouse and children watched him perform a cliff jumping from a boat looking up the cliff from where the late SBV Vitesses footballer jumped. His wife can be heard shouting “on my god” at the end of the video.
Vitesse made a declaration of sympathy read, “During the 2010/2011 season, Lamrabatte wore the Vitesse shirt as a part of the U23 team. The attacker scoured in a first-team exhibition game with VIOS Vaassen in July 2010.”
Following the tragedy, many fans expressed their condolences on social media for their loved ones, and several former teammates were “horrified.”
Tombstoning, or jumping into the ocean from a high vantage point, is a risky stunt that has caused several fatal incidents resulting in catastrophic injuries and mainly claimed many people’s lives.

Mourad Lamrabatte was a former footballer for SBV Vitesse. Before the club changed its name, he previously also competed for Jon Vitesse, Vitesse’s reserve team.
Lamrabatte was also known for his kickboxing skills. He played for the Vitesse club in the 2010 and 2011 seasons and was associated with Gerry Hamstra’s under-23 team.
