Fenerbahce are interested in signing Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek, who is ‘looking forward to leaving Old Trafford’, according to reports.

The midfielder has dropped down the pecking order in Erik ten Hag’s side after the arrivals of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat this summer.

It was previously reported that Van de Beek turned down a move to FC Lorient earlier in the transfer window before performing a U-turn and telling the Ligue 1 side he was open to the move.

It has now been reported by Turkish news outlet A Spor that Fenerbahce have set their sights on the midfielder, who is keen to leave Man United.

The transfer window in Turkey slams shut on September 15th, allowing the player to move to Fenerbahce before this deadline.

He could re-unite with former Red Devil Fred to make up their midfield.

However, it is unclear as to the position that Van de Beek would play as the report states that Fenerbahce are seeking a player that can play in several positions.

Furthermore, Van de Beek is ‘looking forward to leaving’ Ten Hag’s side this summer.

The Dutch midfielder will be unable to play for the Turkish side in the Europa Conference League if he arrives, with the registration window slamming shut on Monday.

It remains to be seen as to whether Van de Beek will make the move to Turkey, but with many of the European transfer windows already shut, his options are limited.
