DENVER — Three people were killed after six people were shot during a party at a Denver industrial park near the city’s Montbello neighborhood early Saturday morning.

Denver police said officers responded to 12445 E. 39th Avenue around 1:37 a.m. Saturday on a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found one victim with apparent gunshot wounds who was pronounced deceased on scene.

Officers later learned that five other victims self-transported to local hospitals. Two of those five victims were pronounced deceased at the hospital and the other three are expected to survive.

Police didn’t immediately provide any information about the identities of the victims.

Preliminary information indicates that there was a party at an industrial storefront where there’s evidence indicating shots were fired from at least two firearms, police said in a news release.

They said investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting as well as who was involved. No arrests have been made at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-713-9867.
