COLUMBUS, Ohio — The rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan takes on a new dimension this year as former Ohio State linebacker Joshua Perry and former University of Michigan tight end Jake Butt join forces to rise above the rivalry in support of Boys & Girls Clubs.

“The Game Gives Back” campaign aims to unite fans of both teams in support of Boys & Girls Clubs and families in need. The money raised in support of Ohio State will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio, while money raised in support of the University of Michigan will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan.

The campaign has already raised more than $80,000 in one week.

“Regardless of team allegiance, this is an opportunity for fans to come together and make a tangible difference,” said Butt. “The Game Gives Back allows us to channel our passion into meaningful support for those who need it most.”

Joshua Perry echoed the sentiment, stating, “The rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan is legendary, but our commitment to supporting our communities goes beyond the game. Through this campaign, we’re inviting fans to unite for a common goal: empowering young people and assisting families in need.”

Supporters can choose their team and make a donation to “The Game Gives Back” campaign. Whether it’s scarlet and gray or maize and blue, every contribution counts towards a common goal of making a difference.

The campaign ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26.
