I’ve got three standouts: winning the FA Cup in 1973 with Sunderland, the League Cup with Manchester City in 1976 and the Soccer Bowl with New York Cosmos in 1978. The reason you want to be a footballer is to become a winner. Those shirts are framed in my study at home.

But there is another special one. You have to justify the reason for your visa at the US Embassy when going to work there. So before moving to New York, I took the sash City away shirt with me from the year before. We wore it when we beat Villa 4-1 and I scored a hat-trick. One of them was an overhead kick.

I took the cutting of that game to the embassy, then off I went to replace Pele in New York!
