ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A bar off of U.S. 1 is newest business to get the Bar Rescue treatment, a source from the restaurant confirmed Thursday.

Owners of Arnold’s Lounge, 3912 N. Ponce De Leon Blvd., tell First Coast News that Bar Rescue is taping there and they are planning on reopening Friday, but a time is not set.

The eighth season of the popular show finished airing in June. According to host Jon Taffer, the show began production for its ninth season last year.

Episodes involve Taffer, a longtime restaurant consultant, implementing numerous changes a bar needs such as training staff, installing a new menu or renovating the interior. The episodes feature an epilogue on how the bar fared.
