Jose Mourinho has revealed details of an upcoming Netflix documentary about his life in management.

The charismatic Roma manager has allowed cameras to follow his life in the dugout and away from football.

Mourinho agreed to do the documentary before he became the manager of the Italian side back in May 2021.

As per Football Italia, he stated: ‘I’ll give you some news, a documentary about me starts on Netflix, it’s a documentary about my career and it starts on Thursday.

‘There are things that will only be known there, they pay me well. I hadn’t signed with Roma yet, but I had given my word.

‘A club came along and wanted me to break my agreement with Roma, which hadn’t yet been signed, and I said no.

‘When the documentary comes out everyone will say I’m a total idiot. When Portugal arrived I immediately told the president about it. When Saudi Arabia arrived I immediately told the president about it.

‘This is why I don’t think they talk to other coaches behind my back, for me it’s not like that because there is reciprocity.’

The contents of the documentary remain to be seen but Mourinho seems likely to discuss his spells with each of his former employers over his memorable 24-year career.

Mourinho has hinted at signing a new contract at the Italian side, despite speculation linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

He told reporters last month: ‘I want to continue at Roma. And if I stay at Roma we’ve got to really think hard about the financial fair play limitations we have, because maybe it’s better to work with younger players and give them some chances.

IT’S ALL KICKING OFF!

It’s All Kicking Off is an exciting new podcast from Mail Sport that promises a different take on Premier League football.

‘That could present an opportunity for development, compared to players who have nothing left to develop. I want to continue and I’m open to a new approach.

Mourinho’s three-year deal at Roma expires after this season and the club’s owners have not yet given any indication on their plans for the manager.
