Wolves striker Sasa Kalajdzic has been given the go-ahead to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.

The 6ft 7ins Austria international centre forward will be involved with Wolves for their FA Cup tie with Brentford tonight to provide cover but will then travel to Germany over the weekend to complete formalities with Frankfurt.

The Bundesliga side are still discussing the possibility of buying Kalajdzic permanently at the end of the loan.

Kalajdzic joined Wolves from Stuttgart in August 2022 for £15million but tore his anterior cruciate ligament on his debut against Southampton.

He returned to action a year later and scored a crucial winner against Everton at the start of this season.

However he has been used since predominantly from the bench and was keen for more starting opportunities.

Former club Stuttgart and other Premier League sides had shown interest but Frankfurt was his first choice.

Wolves have shown interest in the likes of West Ham’s Said Benrahma and Hugo Ekitike of Paris St Germain but are weighing up other options too.

They are also in talks to add 18-year old attacking midfielder Noha Lemina on loan from PSG, as reported by Mail Sport.
