Talented Manchester United youngster Joe Hugill has signed a new two-year deal with the option of extending for an additional year. 

The 20-year-old striker joined the club’s academy from Sunderland in 2020 and has since impressed enough for a number of senior team call-ups. 

Most recently on the bench for United’s FA Cup tie against Wigan Athletic on Monday, Hugill has regularly trained with Erik ten Hag’s first team, and featured during the club’s pre-season friendlies.

Last season, Hugill saw action with National League side Altrincham on loan, after being part of Man United’s FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2022. 

The new terms of Hugill’s deal will keep him at the club until 2026, when the club have an option to trigger a year-long contract extension.
