Wolves have pulled out of a move for Brazilian forward Yuri Alberto during the final stages of negotiations with Corinthians due to financial differences.

The 22-year-old, has been a target for West Ham and Everton recently, but Wolves looked set to seal his signature heading into the final day of the transfer window.

Alberto’s impressive campaign last season saw him bag 10 goals in all competitions for the Brazilian side and put Premier League clubs on alert.

Wolves and the player’s agent are understood to have disagreed on some of the financial particulars involved, with the English club then pulling out of the transfer.

It is the second successive transfer window where the Brazilian has been touted for a move to the Premier League before talks have fallen apart.

West Ham were keen to bring him to England last summer and even sent technical director Tim Steidten to Brazil to rubber stamp the deal.

Alberto has some European pedigree under his belt, although his spell with Zenit St. Petersburg yielded just 16 appearances.

He did however net four times in 11 league appearances for the Russian giants.

Wolves are now the latest club to pull out of a move for the forward at the last available moment. 

Meanwhile, they have secured the transfer of PSG youngster Noha Lemina on loan for the remainder of the season.

There is an £800,000 option to make the 19-year-old’s move permanent in the summer.
