Liverpool’s charge towards the Premier League title could receive a huge boost on Sunday with a win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

There’s been an emotionally-charged aura around the Anfield club since Jurgen Klopp announced he will leave at the end of the season, perhaps making the Reds even harder to beat. There are plenty of injuries to important players for Klopp to navigate, however.

Here’s the team the German will likely choose when Liverpool visit Arsenal in the Premier League.

Andrew Robertson - Soccer Player

GK: Alisson Becker There is no doubt Alisson is a wonderful goalkeeper, but he is semi-prone to errors in big games. He could really do without one here.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – This is harsh on Conor Bradley considering how well he played against Chelsea, but Klopp is expected to go with the experience of Alexander-Arnold here.

CB: Ibrahima Konate It’s going to be hard for a striker like Gabriel Jesus to get much joy against Konate. His physical presence is immense and he is very composed.

CB: Virgil van Dijk – There may be a lot of noise about his future at the club right now, but Van Dijk will keep doing what he does.

LB: Andy Robertson This may be a big moment in Liverpool’s season with Robertson expected to make his first start after a long recovery period. Joe Gomez will have to drop down to the bench.

CM: Curtis Jones Didn’t have his best game against Chelsea but remains a player Klopp trusts. There are also few other midfield options fit and available, but Liverpool are trying to change that.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – There are some concerns over Mac Allister’s fitness ahead of this match, but as things stand he is expected to start in what will be a very tough midfield battle.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai Likely to be the most attacking midfielder in the Liverpool team and will be really key if they choose to play on the counter at the Emirates.

RW: Diogo Jota – The Portuguese forward is in a rich vein of form at the moment and will be one of the players Arsenal are fearing most.

ST: Darwin Nunez – There is concern Nunez will not be fit to face Arsenal as Klopp revealed he has a knock from the Chelsea game. He will start if fit, but if not Cody Gakpo is expected to take his place.

LW: Luis Diaz – The Colombian is also enjoying a great spell at the moment and Ben White is going to have a tough job dealing with him on Sunday.
