Thomas Tuchel has revealed that star striker Harry Kane is “unhappy” with the service he’s being provided by his Bayern Munich teammates.

The England captain joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer for a €100m fee, and was widely expected to win the first team trophy of his career at the Bavarian club – with Bayern having won the last 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles.

At the moment however, Kane’s trophy drought looks likely to continue past his maiden season at Bayern, with the club currently well adrift of table-toppers Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table. They are also on the brink of elimination from the UEFA Champions League thanks to a rather harrowing 1-0 defeat at the hands off Lazio in the first leg of their round of 16 tie.

Despite scoring a whopping 28 goals in all competitions already this season, Kane failed to score in each of his last two appearances for the Bavarian club, managing a measly one shot on target during the thumping 3-0 defeat to Leverkusen last weekend.

Speaking to reporters, head coach Tuchel admitted that Kane is currently unhappy with his lack of involvement in goalmouth action in recent games.

“Harry already knows what he’s doing. And of course he’s unhappy with the way he’s involved at the moment. And we are dissatisfied with how we find and don’t find him [in games],” said Tuchel.

“I have very rarely, perhaps never before, seen such a discrepancy between performances in training and matches, the way he scores, the way he leads the team, the way his team wins. It’s unbelievable. It’s absolutely world class.

“And then how little we find him in the game? That’s a bit indicative of the current situation. But he’s the one who behaves like a captain. That’s why everything’s okay with Harry. He’s low maintenance at the very highest level.”
