Napoli and Barcelona played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in the Champions League Round of 16 tie, with Victor Osimhen’s late goal rescuing a point for the Italian side.

Barcelona dominated possession early in the game, with Alex Meret coming through several times to deny the visitors attempts at goal.

However, it was Napoli who came closest to scoring in the first half, but they failed to register a shot on target, a first in their Champions League history.

Barcelona broke the deadlock in the second half through Robert Lewandowski’s clinical finish, but Napoli fought back strongly.

Osimhen, making his return from AFCON duty, equalized late in the game with a powerful strike after turning past Inigo Martinez.

The goal sparked a late surge from Napoli, with Giovanni Simeone and Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa coming close to scoring a winner for the Italian giants.

However, Barcelona held on for the draw and sharing the spoils in the first leg of the round.
