Chelsea fans sung an expletive-ridden chant in the direction of their owner during a frustrating 2-2 draw away at Brentford in a West London derby on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues sit in 11th place in the Premier League, and continued to drop points in their bid to climb up to the European places.

Nicolas Jackson gave the visitors the lead in the 35th minute, but two goals for Brentford put the hosts in front with 20 minutes to play, before Axel Disasi rescued a point for Chelsea in the 83rd minute.

Reports at the ground, including MailSport’s Kieran Gill, noted that there were chants for former owner Roman Abramovich, and ex-manager Jose Mourinho, as Chelsea fans clung to their recent success, as opposed to the current side.

Some Blues supporters also sang ‘F*** off Mauricio’, despite the Chelsea manager celebrating his 52nd birthday on Saturday.

At full-time, a young fan was seen holding a scribbled sign on a piece of cardboard which read: ‘I don’t want your shirt. I only want you to play for yours.’

Jackson had put the Blues in front with his first-half header, but Mads Roerslev’s close-range equaliser came five minutes after the break.

Then Congolese striker Yoane Wissa scored a stunning bicycle kick to put the Bees in front after 69 minutes.

Disasi was able to get a header to secure a point for the Blues, but many fans will view it as a setback, with games running out for Chelsea to make a late charge up the Premier League table.

Chelsea’s remaining fixtures before the international break are a home game against Newcastle United on Monday March 11, and the FA Cup quarter-final against Leicester City six days later.
