The Premier League title race is already one of the best in recent history and it has the potential to be the greatest ever seen in the division.

Not since the 2013-14 season have three teams been so close at the top this late into the campaign.

Liverpool and Manchester City’s draw on Sunday saw Arsenal claim their spot at the top of the pile on goal difference from the Reds, while City are just a point behind.

If the Gunners, Liverpool and City are equal on points, goal difference and goals scored, the champion will be decided based on the head-to-head record between the sides.

This would make great reading for Arsenal, who have already beaten both of their rivals this season and have yet another chance to deal a blow when they travel to the Etihad on March 31.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have two home draws against the other sides, as well as a draw against Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad.

Mikel Arteta’s side are faced with overturning a one-goal deficit in their Champions League last-16 second-leg against Porto on Tuesday before attention can return to league matters.

Liverpool and City will be in FA Cup action this weekend as they take on Manchester United and Newcastle United respectively.
