A motorcyclist was found dead after vanishing into a massive sinkhole in South Korea’s largest city.
A massive sinkhole, approximately 65 feet in both width and depth, emerged at a crossing in the Myeongil-dong area of eastern Seoul on Monday afternoon. This sudden event engulfed a man and injured a woman driving a van across the affected spot, according to officials speaking to the Associated Press.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was uncovered before noon on Tuesday, as per emergency officer Kim Chang Seob during a press briefing on television.
Kim mentioned that rescuers found the man wearing his helmet and motorcycle boots. They also located his Japanese-manufactured motorcycle and cell phone prior to reaching his remains.
