The family of a guest who stayed at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas has launched a wrongful death lawsuit, alleging that she died from injuries after being ejected from a revolving door at the hotel.

The incident occurred in March 2023, with the lawsuit asserting that 78-year-old Diana Truschke was “forcefully expelled” from the hotel’s main revolving door while she was leaving the premises.

“The revolving door sped up and struck Ms. Truschke from behind,” the lawsuit claimed.

The incident caused her to be thrown several feet, ultimately falling to the sidewalk on her face, according to the lawsuit.

Truschke passed away on October 14, 2024, reportedly “due to complications from injuries” incurred on March 21, 2023. The lawsuit claims her death was “a natural consequence of the negligence” of the hotel property.

Truschke’s lawsuit also claimed that hotel employees should have known and informed guests that the revolving door at the entrance was not working properly before the incident occurred.

The lawsuit stated that Truschke had “extensive medical treatment” but that her health ultimately “continued to deteriorate.”

The family of the Truschke is asking for $15,000 in damages, which is the state minimum.
