Saraya, the former WWE Superstar known as Paige, has made it clear that a return to WWE is not off the table. The current AEW wrestler recently opened up about her feelings toward WWE and her willingness to step back into the company’s ring if the right opportunity arises.

During a candid conversation on the Hall of Fame Podcast with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Brad Gilmore, Saraya expressed her gratitude to WWE and acknowledged the impact the company had on her career. Despite currently being signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), she admitted that she would be more than willing to return to WWE under the right circumstances.

Saraya Reflects on WWE’s Impact on Her Career

Saraya made her WWE debut in 2011 and quickly rose to prominence, becoming the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion and a two-time WWE Divas Champion. Her unforgettable main roster debut in 2014 saw her defeat AJ Lee to win the Divas Championship, marking one of the most iconic debuts in WWE history.

Reflecting on her WWE journey, Saraya expressed nothing but appreciation for the company that helped her become a global wrestling sensation.

“I love WWE, and I don’t have any negative feelings towards them. They raised me, they saved me a lot. I just appreciate them so much.”

Saraya’s wrestling career took an unexpected turn when she was forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2018 due to a severe neck injury. However, her resilience and passion for the business eventually led to her return to the ring, signing with AEW in 2022.

Why Saraya Left WWE and Joined AEW

While her admiration for WWE remains strong, Saraya’s decision to join AEW stemmed from a personal motivation and supporting her younger brother, Zak Zodiac, in his wrestling career.

“The idea of going somewhere else was only because the potential of my brother being there was a big thing. I just wanted him to be a success in wrestling.”

Saraya’s desire to see her brother thrive in the industry was a significant factor in her decision. AEW’s growing platform and willingness to push fresh talent made it an attractive choice. Additionally, AEW offered Saraya the opportunity to make her in-ring return in a major spotlight, reigniting her passion for competing inside the squared circle.

An Open Door for a WWE Return

Despite her current AEW contract, Saraya made it clear that she would “absolutely” consider returning to WWE if the right opportunity presented itself. Her enthusiasm for a WWE comeback was evident as she spoke about her openness to collaborating with the company once again.

“But I love WWE, and I would absolutely, if there was something that they needed from me, which was exciting, I would definitely go there, yeah. That would be silly not to, I feel like. So yeah, if there’s an opportunity to do something fun, hell yeah, I’ll jump on board.”

With WrestleMania season always bringing surprises and WWE continuing to expand its global presence, fans are already speculating about what a potential Saraya return might look like. Whether it’s a Royal Rumble appearance, a marquee match, or a special one-off event, the possibilities are endless.

Saraya’s AEW Contract and What’s Next

As it stands, Saraya is under contract with AEW until September 2025. While she has been a major presence on AEW television, her absence from in-ring action since October 2024 has sparked curiosity about her future. Some reports suggest she may be exploring other creative opportunities outside of wrestling.

Adding to the intrigue, Saraya recently teased some significant personal and professional developments. While promoting her memoir, “Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives,” she hinted that a second book may be in the works. Additionally, her upcoming podcast, “Rule Breaking,” promises to reveal more about the “life-changing” news she’s been alluding to.

WWE Fans React to Saraya’s Comments

Unsurprisingly, Saraya’s comments about a possible WWE return have sent wrestling fans into a frenzy. Many took to social media to share their excitement and speculate about dream matches and potential storylines.

From the possibility of a Paige vs. Rhea Ripley showdown to a reunion with The Bella Twins or a heartfelt WWE Hall of Fame induction, fans are eagerly imagining the scenarios in which Saraya could make her WWE comeback.

Could WWE Extend an Invitation?

While WWE has yet to respond to Saraya’s comments, the company has a long history of welcoming back former talent. Superstars like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and John Morrison all returned to WWE in recent years, proving that anything is possible in the wrestling world.

For now, Saraya remains focused on her commitments with AEW. However, with her evident fondness for WWE and a willingness to return, wrestling fans will be keeping a close eye on her next moves.
