VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was found shot to death early Monday inside a Deltona home, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 2:23 a.m. to the home in the 3200 block of Parma Drive.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspected shooter and the woman knew each other. Deputies said the suspect was identified within an hour, though the shooter’s name and age have not been released.
Deputies said the suspect had fled and crashed their vehicle in Flagler County, where they were taken into custody.
Law enforcement activity near Hammock Dunes Parkway and Palm Harbor Parkway shut down the toll bridge around 4:27 a.m., but it was later reopened.
