TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A South Tampa community is staying vigilant after back-to-back sightings of a “peeping Tom” over the weekend.

According to the Tampa Police Department, a suspect was spotted peering into the windows of a home near South Lois Avenue and West San Miguel Street.

“The incidents occurred on Saturday, March 29, and again on Sunday, March 30, between midnight and 1 a.m. on both dates,” read a statement from the Tampa Police Department.

Residents are on high alert and keeping a careful eye on the perimeter of their properties to ensure no one is peering inside.

“It’s very worrisome,” said Sharon Davis. “It’s very frightening. I have solar lights, but I don’t have my house lit up. It makes me nervous to even go out on my deck.”

The suspect’s disturbing behavior was captured on a home surveillance camera.

Officials are encouraging the community to review the footage and report any suspicious activity.

“There’s been no violent crime related to this,” said Eddy Durkin, a spokesperson for the Tampa Police Department. “We just want people to be aware. Be mindful of suspicious activity and call if something just doesn’t feel right to you.”

Detectives are in the process of developing leads and asking residents to review any security footage around the same date and time of the incident.

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect can call Tampa police at 813-231-6130 and reference report #25-182569.
