BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A Bismarck man was arrested early Friday morning on a charge of terrorizing — the same charge he had been out on bond for an incident in Mandan 12 days earlier.
According to the Bismarck Police, officers responded to a report of terrorizing in the area of 1100 Summit Boulevard around 11:00 p.m. Thursday.
Two residents told police an individual approached them holding a knife in a manner that placed them in fear for their lives.
On March 24, according to court records, the same individual was released from jail on bond in an incident in Mandan where he is alleged to have terrorized individuals with a firearm.
In addition to the recent terrorizing, the suspect has a lengthy criminal history in North Dakota.
As a result, West Dakota SWAT was called in to arrest him, due to his criminal history and recent terrorizing arrest, and to ensure public safety and the safety of the officers involved.
The 43-year-old man was taken into custody on an arrest warrant around 3:10 a.m. Friday, April 4.
He is in the Burleigh Morton Detention Center awaiting his initial court appearance on the latest terrorizing charge.
