Rapper and songwriter Eminem has become a grandpa after his beloved daughter Hailie Jade Scott and her husband Evan McClintock welcomed a baby boy.

The couple announced their son’s birth via an Instagram post on Friday, revealing the infant’s date of birth and name.

Eminem would be exceedingly delighted to be a grandpa. The “Houdini” rapper shared his excitement in a music video late last year, showing how Scott told him she was expecting her first baby.

On Friday, Scott posted pictures of her adorable infant son. In the snaps, the adorable baby wore a light blue hooded sweater.

He lay in front of a sign with his full name, “Elliot Marshall McClintock,” and date of birth, “03.14.25.”

Scott paid tribute to her dad with her son’s middle name, Marshall, as Eminem’s real name is Marshall Mathers.

In the post’s caption, the proud mom wrote, “happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e.”

Many fans took turns congratulating Scott on her son’s birth, with some also praising her dad, Eminem.

One fan wrote, “Em stood on business for his kids, and now he’s a Grandpa. We love this. Congrats girl!”

Another fan commented, “Most perfect angel in the whole world.”

A third person added, “Not me tearing up at the middle name like I’m related.”

Meanwhile, one fan pointed out how baby Elliot’s initials, EMM, were closely related to his grandpa’s stage name.

They wrote, “His initials are EM & M. Genius! What a little cutie.”

A fifth fan gushed, “Bro has the coolest grandpa,” while another added, “Welcome baby shady!!”

Before welcoming Elliot, Scott spoke about her excitement at becoming a mom during the last episode of the “Just a Little Shady” podcast.

During the episode, she joked that her son is her “dream podcast guest” before adding, “It’s so weird to think about… I can’t even wrap my head around it.”

Scott also said, “I have to meet this human that I’ve created. What’s he gonna look like? What’s he gonna … what’s his personality gonna be like? It’s so strange but super exciting.”

Eminem couldn’t hide his excitement about becoming a first-time grandpa. In October 2024, he released an emotional music video for his song “Temporary.”

Scott handed her father a blue football jersey with “Grandpa” and number 1 on the back. She also gave him a sonogram image of the baby in her womb.

Eminem couldn’t control his emotions after his daughter’s revelation as he teared up at the joyful news.

Scott has a close bond with her father, which he has spoken about multiple times. In 2001, he told British tabloid Q, per PEOPLE Magazine, that Scott’s birth was “a real wakeup call” for him.

He added, “She made me get my a– in gear — to make something of my life and try 10 quadrillion times harder than I had before. Everything that I am doing right now is for Hailie … the money — it’s for her college.”

Multiple sources revealed that Eminem looked forward with excitement ahead of his grandson’s birth.

An insider shared that Scott is “a big focus” in Eminem’s life. They said, “She lives near him. They’re very close. He’s excited about becoming a grandpa and supporting her. He’s always been very protective of her.”

Another source disclosed that the “Mockingbird” rapper has “always enjoyed privacy” and stays enclosed in his “huge” property outside of Detroit, which “keeps him out of the public eye.”

They explained, “In Michigan, he can live exactly how he wants. He was never comfortable in the spotlight.”

Another insider revealed that the 15-time Grammy Award winner is “super low-key,” adding, “He doesn’t travel with an entourage. He’s still an incredibly cool guy but also very ‘normal.’ … He keeps to himself these days and is definitely an artist but not a diva.”
