Jamie Siminoff, the founder of Ring, has made a return to Amazon this week, nearly two years after his departure, as reported by Bloomberg. He has assumed the role of vice president and is now in charge of teams overseeing Ring, Blink, Amazon Key, and Sidewalk.

Siminoff is stepping into the position previously held by Liz Hamren, who had taken over after his initial exit. In a Q&A on Amazon, Siminoff praised Hamren and her team, stating they have done a remarkable job in advancing the business and providing great experiences for users. He also mentioned the current “AI transformation,” describing it as a unique, once-in-a-generation chance.

During the Q&A, Siminoff revealed that he and Panos Panay, the Senior Vice President of Devices and Services at Amazon, have frequently discussed creating interconnected devices that work well individually but excel when used collaboratively. Siminoff believes that their future initiatives will focus on ensuring customer safety, connectivity, and information in a seamless and integrated manner.
