Love is on the back burner as the K-1 visa clock ticks down for the 90 Day Fiancé season 11 couples. From unanswered questions to family conflicts, the drama continued to brew during episode 8. However, things may finally be looking up for Mark Bessette after his daughter, Jordan, apologized to his bride-to-be.
90 Day Fiance’s Shekinah Was Nervous About Sarper Meeting Her Daughter
Sarper Güven and Shekinah Garner were still experiencing the aftermath of the dinner they had with her friends the previous evening. “Everything went well except for Dan,” the Turkey native remarked to his fiancée, referring to her friend who thought he would be a better partner for Shekinah than Sarper.
“I was really pleased to see that you could, like, hold your ground. That was a high-pressure situation,” Shekinah acknowledged. “You had many eyes on you, and many people would buckle under that kind of pressure, you know, but you didn’t.”
Though the personal trainer remained composed this time, Sarper cautioned that if Dan behaved that way again, it would be the last interaction he’d have with the “modern Sarper,” reminiscent of his formerly hot-tempered days.
This made Shekinah more confident about the next person her fiancée needed to impress — her daughter, Sofie. However, the beauty business owner knew the uphill battle she had to climb in bridging the connection between Sofie and Sarper, telling producers, “The problem is, Sofie has heard a lot of negative things from my family about Sarper, so she hasn’t wanted to meet him before.”
Now, with the 90-day time clock in full effect to complete the requirements of their K-1 visa, the pressure was on for her future husband and daughter to meet in person. “Because if Sofie doesn’t approve of my relationship with Sarper, I won’t be able to marry him,” Shekinah confessed to producers.
The couple traveled to Northern California to visit Sofie, but the teen was unaware that Sarper would be accompanying her mother on the trip.
“Sofie hasn’t been ready to meet Sarper yet, and I’m still unsure if she’s ready now,” the mom of one told the cameras. “But we’re running out of time. Sarper and I only have two months before we have to get married and I’m not walking down the aisle without my daughter’s approval. There’s a lot riding on this trip.”
The pair got mother/daughter pedicures, where Sofie said she was “open” to meeting Sarper but wasn’t coming into the conversation with high expectations. Sofie already had reservations since her mom got engaged to Sarper before she even had a chance to meet him.
“My mom’s past relationships have definitely influenced my perspective of like where she is with Sarper because her past relationships definitely haven’t worked out and the guys that she’s chosen haven’t been the best,” Sofie told the cameras. Shekinah agreed that she wouldn’t get married unless she received her daughter’s blessing.
90 Day Fiance’s Amani, Any and Matt Couldn’t Define their Throuple Romance
Amani Jlassi, Matt Jlassi, and Any Aguirre were still navigating the dynamics of their complicated throuple relationship and had planned to spend the day doing a winery tour together. However, Amani struggled with lingering doubts during the trip, feeling uneasy that Any wasn’t ready to be honest with her family about their polyamorous relationship.
The trio had a conversation about their relationship during the tour, where Amani said they “felt stronger” as a throuple, but she felt there was an “equal feeling” she could feel herself chasing.
“Since the beginning of the trip, things were just going more in favor of Matt. Like he’s the person who she kissed first when we met at the Day of the Dead,” Amani explained. “He’s the person she has sex with for the first time alone, one-on-one. While I was not part of that. He is the person who she tells her family about. He’s the boyfriend and I’m the friend.”
Although she was happy about their progress as a throuple, she was worried about the “growing closeness” between Any and her husband.
Any suspected Amani’s uncomfortability and asked what she wasn’t telling her. “I’m sure you know, but I’m really hurt by the fact that you’re introducing me as like just a friend to your family,” she replied. “If the issue is really polyamory and you could have presented me as a girlfriend individually or you could have presented him as just a boyfriend, then why can’t I be the girlfriend and he’s the friend, you know?”
The Mexico native said she did tell some people in her hometown that she had a girlfriend, but didn’t plan on telling her family before she moved the States.
“I can’t do this,” Amani immediately said as she left the table they were sitting at. “You can’t turn a ho into a housewife, that’s what’s going on.”
Matt and Any went to comfort Amani, where Any asked for time alone with her. There, Amani told Any that she wanted the world to at least know that she was in a serious relationship.
“I don’t like her reaction. I feel bad. I feel sad because she don’t understand me. She want too many things in short time,” Any told producers.
After the throuple left the winery, Any made a startling revelation about their relationship to Amani. “I don’t care about him. I love you more than him,” she told her.
Amani told Any that Matt was “part of the package” although she couldn’t help but appreciate the validation. “But at the same time, I don’t know if it’s coming out of her mouth because I got really mad at her so she’s giving me what I want to hear,” she confessed. “I don’t know how to tell Matt or even if I should tell him.”

90 Day Fiance’s Mahdi and Stevi Were Unsure About the Future
The cultural differences between Mahdi and Stevi continued to shine, even at the gym. The Iran native was surprised to see both men and women working out together, admitting it made him a little uneasy.
“In Iran, most women don’t show their hair, let alone like their body. So, working out beside women really makes me uncomfortable. I’m always like talking to myself, don’t look at this, don’t do this, don’t do that. It’s like so weird to me,” he said in a confessional. He then asked Stevi how she would feel if he began training female clients.
Stevi was OK with the idea as long as he kept it “professional.” Mahdi then asked about the paintings of naked women in her home, asking, “Like, are you, do you think you’re sexually, like, attracted to them?”
Stevi called Mahdi’s question out as “weird,” adding in a private confessional with producers, “I think it’s insane that Mahdi’s even asking me if I’m bisexual, so I don’t think I should have to answer a question like that.”
Mahdi felt she was being vague on purpose and continued to push on the topic as he “needed” to know the answer before they made it down the aisle. “I’m not going to give you any answer that I think you’re wanting,” she clapped back. “So, we should just end the conversation.”
The pair later had a date night at home, where Stevi wanted to try a spicy naked art experiment with her fiancée. The idea made a very modest-Mahdi uncomfortable and they compromised by putting paint on his arm.
During their date night, Mahdi mentioned that the cost of the permanent residence visa was about to increase — adding pressure for them to get married within the next few weeks, rather than waiting the full 90 days, to avoid the price hike.
“I hear all the things that you’ve been talking to me about and like, as far as getting married, at this point right now, I don’t know how I feel about that. Like rushing it,” Stevi admitted. “I need you to be adjusted [to living in the U.S.] because I don’t want to get married. And then after we’re married, you decide you want to go home.”
Stevi noted that every time Mahdi spoke to his family, it would put him back a “mindset of being super, super homesick,” and asked him if he “could not talk to them as much.”
“You’re asking me not to call my family?” Madhi asked. Stevi said she wasn’t, adding, “I’m trying to tell you that talking them every day is keeping you in a mindset that you live there and you live here.”
90 Day Fiance’s Mina Reconciled With Mark’s Family
After their heated argument over the prenup, Aminata “Mina” Mack found herself alone and in tears after walking away from Mark’s family. Mark’s brother and daughter openly opposed his decision to marry Mina, believing she was only in it for the money.
“I love her, and we have beautiful daughter Maria together and I need everybody to get on board with it and feel like it is for the right reasons,” Mark told producers. “And I appreciate the concern, but I don’t want to sit here and gang up on her, especially at our first big family barbecue in the U.S.A.”
Jordan and Mark’s mother asked to speak with Mina, who assured the mom of two that it was nothing personal against her and more the “family being concerned” about each other.
Mina apologized to Jordan for previously calling her a “snake” and extended a new invitation to her wedding. In return, Jordan expressed regret for anything she may have done to “upset or offend” Mina. While Mina worked to mend things with Mark’s family, another argument seemingly looms as she didn’t want to sign a prenuptial agreement.
90 Day Fiance’s Shawn and Alliya Had Lingering Questions About Their Relationship
Shawn Finch and Alliya de Batista were intimate, and the next morning, the Brazil native wanted to get something to make her feel at home. While shopping at the pharmacy, an at-home HIV test caught Alliya’s eye.
“Alliya has this thing about getting an HIV test every month basically might be germaphobia or hypochondria, you know, one of the two,” Shawn told the cameras. “When we’re getting more intimate, then I feel like she’s worried about contracting the STD, even if everybody’s tested, and I still think her mental ideas can run wild. So, it’s affecting how intimate we can be and how often.”
Alliya brushed off the comment and said she was being “cautious” because they were in an open relationship.
Shawn later asked Alliya about the HIV test while out to eat, learning that she takes six or seven tests per year, and asked if she planned to continue to test as frequently.
“I thought you said that when I come to America, you you’ll be back, and we’ll be monogamous,” the hairstylist replied. “So yeah, as long as, you know, we’re being intimate … As long as we’re like relating to each other sexually and whatever, I’m happy and we can be monogamous no problem.”
Alliya immediately had reservations after hearing this, feeling like his monogamy would be tied to the quality of their intimacy. She also questioned what happened as she continued to get more feminine procedures.
“I don’t want to you to feel like you have to lose something in order to have our relationship work,” he replied. “And I don’t want to feel like I have to give up something to have a relationship work.”
‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Jessica’s Friend Was Unsure About Juan’s Intentions
Jessica Parsons met up for a night out with her friend Megin to discuss what had happened the other night with Juan David Daza.
“The other night Megin found out that Juan cheated, and she cried and was very hurt and heartbroken. And then she found out that I knew and was even more devastated and cried even more,” the mom of three explained. “I’m like her best friend, like her only friend really. So, Juan cheated on me, felt like he cheated on her in a sense. And to find out that I knew probably felt like I cheated on her as well.”
Megin said she felt “lied to” by both Jessica and Juan and questioned how she would be able to trust her best friend’s fiancé.
“I’ll say that I have to figure out how I can start moving forward all over again with Juan. I think that’ll take some time,” she told producers. Megin didn’t have too much time to repair her relationship with Juan as she was set to be the maid of honor in their wedding and wanted them to be “like family.”
“Megin is so protective at a fault sometimes and unwilling to let things go,” Jessica said on screen. “I definitely worry about, you know, Megin and how she’s going to treat Juan over the next 90 days.”
