THIS is the horror moment a huge flammable tanker overturned and crashed on a highway – drenching cars in a highly-flammable liquid.

CCTV footage shows the tanker erupting in a massive ball of flame before setting dozens of cars ablaze.

A truck, reportedly laden with gallons of ethanol, was traveling along a highway in Santa Catarina, Brazil when it suddenly overturned close to the traffic.

CCTV Footage shows the truck approaching a corner on the highway when it topples onto its sides.

The truck immediately catches fire, and a huge amount of highly flammable ethanol is spilled on the road before making its way to the other cars.

In just a matter of seconds, dozens of cars stuck in traffic near the collision area are set alight.

They can be seen burning a grey smoke, with rubble along the roads.

Horror pictures of the aftermath of the accident showed charred vehicles – some still burning – lined up on one side of the highway.

In total, 22 cars and three trucks were affected, and five people were injured.

The truck driver and his wife were in the vehicle and suffered burns to their arms and legs.

Firefighters from several cities arrived to control the fire, and a vehicle with explosives was removed from the area.

The highway was forced to close both ways after the disaster.

This terrifying incident has not been the only shocking track crash to be caught on camera.

Chilling footage showed a giant boulder tumble from above and crush a lorry before rockfall slammed into a second truck.

Footage captured by the dashcam of another truck recorded the terrifying moment when a large boulder detached from the mountain and fell onto the vehicle ahead.

The boulder, which was about the size of a lorry itself, completely crushed the truck.

Moments later, another rock fell on top of the truck that was recording – it too was destroyed.

Another truck carrying loads of fireworks for the New Year’s celebration crashed in the middle of the highway.

Meanwhile, another horror footage showed the moment a freight train ploughed into a truck – giving the driver just seconds to escape.

The intense video captured the almost disastrous scene as a truck found itself immobilized on a crossing in the Börde district, approximately 100 miles west of Berlin.

Police confirmed the vehicle was stranded due to a technical defect and the driver only just made a lucky escape.

The trucker was able to make an emergency call and flee the scene and abandon his vehicle in time.
