Authorities are investigating a series of bizarre break-ins in Brisbane after a stranger snuck a swim in a family pool.

The paddle pincher was caught on camera half a dozen times but the family has no idea who he is.

He has made himself at home in Stevens’ backyard at least five times since January.

“It just feels a little bit entitled,” homeowner Holly Stevens said.

“So we’ve come to the conclusion he’s obviously scoping out the property whilst we’re out make sure no ones home.”

The sneaky swimmer even takes off his shoes at the front door of the New Farm home, before loosening out his limbs in luxury.

“He’s there, sweaty, wearing sneakers, running, and afterwards stretching in the pool post-run, which is honestly quite gross, since he’s a stranger to us,” Stevens mentioned.

“He’s coming in sweaty and swimming.”

Stevens says they’ve caught the dirty dipper nearly half a dozen times, but believe he’s been secretly making a splash even more often than that.

“After the second incident, we upgraded our CCTV, so now we have a clear view of when he enters the property. Prior to this, he could’ve been coming in, and we might not have realized,” she added.

“It’s just really odd, like just bizarre.”

With the culprit caught on camera repeatedly, police are now investigating the incident.

The man is likely to face charges of trespassing and potentially more if authorities catch him in the act.

Police recommend securing your property with external walls and fences to deter potential trespassers.
