Exclusive: According to nine.com.au readers, Australians lack faith in either major party’s strategy for resolving the housing crisis.
Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese are set to compete for leadership tomorrow, but voters have little confidence that either can bring housing prices under control.

A survey conducted by nine.com.au with over 500 participants* revealed that nearly 80 percent of respondents do not think the election policies of Labor or the Coalition will address the housing crisis effectively.

‘Voting for the same 2 parties will not change anything,” a reader said.

One homeowner mentioned that the crisis in housing affordability has left her three adult children still residing at home, increasing her expenses for groceries and bills.

‘Neither party’s policy will aid the housing crisis; both are expected to worsen the situation and drive prices up higher. It’s absurd!,” the respondent commented.

On a lighter note, almost three-quarters of the group believe the humble democracy sausage should be eaten in a slice of bread, rather than a roll.

Several respondents said the term should be abolished all together.

”Democracy sausage. Stop embarrassing yourself Australia,” one reader wrote.

“I hate the term democracy sausage; feels forced,” another said.
