ISLAMABAD – The spokesperson for Pakistan’s army has reported that India launched missiles towards three air bases within the country’s territory, but the majority of them were intercepted.

Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif announced in a televised statement that all assets of the Pakistan Air Force remain intact. He also mentioned that some of the Indian missiles landed in India’s eastern Punjab region.

The spokesman specified that India’s missile targets included the Nur Khan air base in Rawalpindi’s garrison city, the Murid air base in Chakwal city, and the Rafiqui air base in Jhang district, located in the eastern Punjab province.

Sharif said some of the missiles fired by India have also gone into Afghanistan, and Pakistan had evidence to prove it.

Sharif aid that “continuing its naked aggression, India, some time back, has fired air-to-surface missiles with its jets.”

“According to information till now, all PAF (Pakistan Air Force) assets are safe,” he said.
