It was a glamorous black tie event.
While a number of celebrity attendees dazzled in sparkling and glamorous outfits, Cate Blanchett chose a more refined look as she arrived at Windsor Castle for a charity dinner on Tuesday, hosted by the Duke of Cambridge.
Mingling with celebrities such as Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, and Emma Watson, along with fellow Australian Margot Robbie, the modestly styled Blue Jasmine actress, 44, made a significant impression in an ethereal, powdery white gown.

Dazzling: Cate Blanchett captivated in a sleek, powder white form-fitting gown while socializing with a host of high-profile guests at a charity gala dinner hosted by Prince William at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.
Clinging to her willowy figure, the floor-length frock featured a dramatic one shoulder detail with layers of delicate fabric draped over her bust and shoulder to break up the simplicity of the dress.
Leaving her collar unadorned, the mother-of-three added sparkle to her elegant ensemble with a pair of chandelier style crystal earrings and clutched a slimline cream purse.
Prince William threw open the doors of the castle for the event, hosted to celebrate the work of The Royal Marsden Hospital of which he is president.
But while a host of celebrities including Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch, actress Helena Bonham Carter, photographer Mario Testino and Downton Abbey’s Laura Carmichael were in attendance, the Duchess of Cambridge was notably absent.

Meanwhile, Ralph Lauren’s wife Ricky adorned her white gown with layers upon layers of delicate frills which culminated in a bold frilled neckline.
