Law&Crime announces AI 'video' recreation of Diddy trial

Law&Crime, a top legal and true crime media company, announces it will provide AI-generated recreations of the federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs. This marks the most comprehensive media coverage available for the prominent case.

Due to the prohibition of cameras in federal trials, starting from the opening statements on May 12, Law&Crime will offer visual representations of the trial. These segments will rely on actual court transcripts to recreate the proceedings. The AI-generated visuals will ensure that the precise words spoken by key witnesses, investigators, and legal officials are accurately depicted, allowing viewers to gain a factual, real-time perspective of the courtroom events.

The music industry leader and entrepreneur is facing federal charges, which include sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, linked to an alleged criminal organization.

The case, which has captivated the public and dominated social media discourse, stems from the allegations of multiple accusers who claim Combs used his celebrity status to exploit and abuse women (and men) for decades.

Among the most anticipated moments in the trial is expected testimony from former partners and close associates of Combs, including Casandra Ventura, better known under her stage name Cassie, whose detailed allegations helped spark a wave of public scrutiny and ultimately led to Combs’ arrest in September 2024. Combs now faces a potential minimum sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted.

“Since the public can’t see or hear what’s happening in federal court firsthand, we’re using cutting-edge AI tools to bring these important proceedings to life, based entirely on official transcripts,” said Law&Crime President Rachel Stockman. “This is a pivotal moment in both popular culture and justice, and our goal is to provide accurate, transparent access to what’s actually being said in that courtroom.”

The recreated testimony and trial highlights will be available on Law&Crime’s YouTube channel, with new segments published as court proceedings unfold.

Also coming soon from Law&Crime Productions: The Rise & Fall of Diddy, the second installment of the network’s investigative podcast series that will be available exclusively on Wondery+ starting June 10.
