A black ring in the sky has slowly disappeared before shocked witnesses, raising questions about its origin.

A mysterious black ring appeared in the sky and gradually vanished, leaving onlookers puzzled about its source.

While Frankie Camren was riding through Bonner Springs, Kansas, he noticed something unusual that made him stop and pull over.

“Can somebody tell me what this is?” he questioned in a video shared on social media.

“I have never seen anything like that in my life.

“That is just weird. I’m not kidding here, this is real.”

It was a black ring hovering over a suburban road. But, within moments, it dissipated.

“Tell me that is not freaking weird,” Camren said.

FOX Forecast Centre’s meteorologists explained the sighting is likely a smoke ring that was the result of an explosion.

They likened it to a mushroom cloud. 

A similar black ring was spotted in the sky in Seattle on March 29.
