A TikTok influencer, Valeria Márquez, has been shot de@d by a motorbike-riding gunman while live streaming to her followers at a beauty salon.
Márquez, 23, was conducting a live stream from a salon in the Santa María shopping center in Jalisco when an individual entered and shot her before escaping, as reported by Puerto Rican newspaper El Imparcial.
Officials are investigating the de@th but have yet to publicly name the victim, noting she had “an active presence and influence on social media.”
The video captures the terrifying incident where the TikTok star and beauty professional was shot repeatedly during a live transmission from her establishment, Blossom the Beauty Lounge, situated in the western Mexican region of Jalisco.
The video shows a smiling Valeria looking out of the window moments before bullets strike her once in the chest and twice in the head.
Initial reports say that a gunman entered her salon and sh0t her before fleeing on a motorbike.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene of the shooting, but Valeria was declared deceased on the spot. Authorities are actively probing into her murder, having secured the salon as part of the investigation, while a search for the suspect is currently in progress.
The influencer was known for sharing beauty and lifestyle videos with her 110,000 TikTok followers.
An autopsy on the beauty guru’s body will be performed in the coming hours, Infobae reported.
A statement from the prosecutor’s office said: ‘According to the initial investigation, she was in her establishment when a man entered and apparently shot her several times with a firearm, killing her.’
