Police: Man who tried to rob Greeneville store at large, armed and dangerous

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — One person was arrested after an alleged fight at Greeneville Community Hospital on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Greeneville Police Department (GPD), an officer responded to a fight in progress at the hospital’s emergency room.

A nurse told police an altercation started after family members came to check on an elderly patient.

“According to the report, the nurse witnessed David Lawson grabbing the victim by the shirt collar, forcing him out of the patient’s room, and then pushing him against the nurse’s station.”

Lawson then allegedly began choking the victim.

Once the fight was broken up, the victim was reportedly admitted to the hospital due to their injuries.

Lawson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault (domestic), according to the GPD.
