After a nationwide hunt, all ten students who buried a time capsule in 1985 have been found.

A group of schoolchildren triumphed in a competition designed to assist Telstra, formerly known as Telecom, in marking its 10th anniversary by placing items in a time capsule in Adelaide, South Australia.

In April, Telstra released a callout to help find the now-grown-up participants 40 years later.

Today, the company said it had located all ten people.

“We value all the interest in this story and are excited to reconnect with Amanda, Corrie, David, Kirsty, Jessica, Michael, Rachel, Vicki, Michelle, and another Michelle, to open the time capsule together on 1 July,” stated Michael Patterson, Telstra’s Regional General Manager for South Australia.

More details about the time capsules’ opening will be shared soon.

All the participants were aged 10 at the time they put items in the capsule and are now hopefully approaching their milestone 50th birthdays.
